News from the off-season at Linkenholt Adventure Centre

Though the site has been closed to campers and the pheasant shoots have invaded, it hasn’t been a completely quiet time for Linkenholt Adventure Centre. Behind the scenes, in the warmth of the office and in the cold of the site, our busy little bees have been getting things ready for the start of the new season.

Firstly, we have developed our new website, alongside the rest of the Releasing Potential Family. This will make the site and all the information you may need more accessible. There are also plans in the pipe work to expand on the website with an online booking system – but we still don’t mind you calling to talk through your needs for your stay.

A new partnership is beginning to be established with Oxenwood Outdoor Education Centre, providing more adventurous activities to enjoy during your stay. This can either be arranged to be on the Linkenholt site (dependant on the activity) or at the Oxenwood purpose built site, a short drive away. These activities could include; paddle-sport, archery, climbing, bush-craft, mountain biking, amongst others. Prior booking will be essential but this will be able to be done through them.

Meanwhile on the site, the fencing is going through a revamp and steps are being taken to reduce the amount of pesky Horse-fly. This has mostly been done by our local handy man turned warden Ross, who will most likely be there to great you on your next stay.

We are hoping to welcome our first guests of the season in the coming weeks but the ‘Beast from the East’ has reduced the accessibility of the site. We are gearing up for a busy spring and summer so just need the weather to catch up!

We look forward to you coming to stay with us and may you come back for many years to come.
