Alex joined Releasing Potential in 2016 having worked for many years as a Lecturer in Higher Education.
Alex manages the operational and strategic elements of a number of services across the organisation including Releasing Potential Institute. Alex works closely with Releasing Potential School to ensure staff have access to a range of training and development opportunities, and co-ordinates and teaches on courses from Levels 2-7 with the organisation and externally.
Dr Alex Gray is an experienced Academic Researcher and HE/FE Lecturer & also a founder and Director at LearnTrek.
Alex is Head of Professional Services and of research and training at Releasing Potential, with the goal to co-ordinate research within the Institute in four major strands:
- SEND
- Alternative Curricula
- Choice Informed Education & Social Pedagogy
- Behaviour Management
Alex studies through many subjects, but her area of research specialism is Medical Humanities; in which she has published widely, as well as on subjects related to Alternative Education and Social Pedagogy. Whilst also delivering teaching across Level 3-7 qualifications and course co-ordinator for Releasing Potential’s Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (SEND pathway).
On top of all this Alex is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and finds time to guest lecture at Universties.
