Founder of ADHD Wise UK

 

Jannine Harris is the founder of ADHD Wise UK, a UK based charity devoted to helping parents and professionals to support children and young people with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. Jannine offers resources and delivers training to teachers and other professionals nationwide, as well as coaching and support in specialist areas including: Autism, Attachment Disorder, and Dyslexia. Jannine’s background is as a SEND Teacher and Researcher and a Special School Teacher; she holds an MA, PGCE (QTLS), and an MSc in psychology.

Jannine recently featured on the BBC to talk about the positives of ADHD and how it can make people feel. Jannine also explains how ADHD feels in her mind and the techniques she uses to manage them. Watch this great short documentary to find out more. 

Jannine calls for urgent action to improve the diagnostic process and support services for those with ADHD. As Jannine was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 41, she explains the stigma behind the condition and how it has affected her life.
