Releasing Potential Institute


The Institute is the academic research and professional training wing of Releasing Potential, an educational charity and Department-for-Education-registered Independent School for young people with Special Educational Needs. Drawing on seventeen years’ experience working with young people who are disengaged from mainstream education, the Institute has developed a range of research projects, events and training in the fields of education, childhood studies, social pedagogy and behaviour management. Our annual conference offers academics, students and professionals the opportunity to listen to and participate in workshops, and to exchange knowledge about key issues involving young people. Our 2019 conference is available to book now.


Releasing Potential Institute offers a range of courses up to foundation degree level. Our expertise in professional training is rooted in our work with young people, and we are accredited to provide training and qualifications in a range of areas. Read more….
