Releasing Potential Enterprises

Releasing Potential operates a range of non-for-profit social enterprise businesses, and prides itself on sustainable and ethical models for business and learning.

We offer work placements and work shadowing to sixth-form students through Releasing Potential School, offering our young people the opportunity to work in a small business environment where they can learn the skills they need to succeed beyond education.

The idea of the Releasing Potential community is a central one, and informs the way we work across our school and enterprise partnerships; we see the very best in young people and strive to allow them to see themselves in the same way.

We operate a series of small not-for-profit businesses. We offer a range of products and services, and all proceeds raised by these enterprises are reinvested into our work with vulnerable young people via Releasing Potential School.

It is our responsibility to ensure that our businesses operate sustainably and responsibly in order to support the greatest number of young people.

We believe in the importance of working with and within our wider community, and the need for students to contribute positively to the world in which they live.

As a provider of education to young people with Special Educational Needs, we work closely alongside social enterprise partners to develop opportunities for young people to gain vocational qualifications and experience.

Socially responsible

Many of the students who have access to work experience through Releasing Potential Enterprises have had few opportunities in life.

We believe that for some, education needs to reach far beyond the traditional models offered by mainstream school and college environments, and the organisation works flexibly with students to give them access to opportunity and support.
