Social Media & Communications Volunteer
Do you have between 1 and 4 hours a week spare? Would you like to give something back to the local community and work with a fun and fast-paced coastal community centre?
We are looking for committed and fun-loving volunteers to join our Coastal Centre team to help us communicate with local and national networks. In return, we offer full training and the opportunity to boost your skills and experience, learn new things, and work with a passionate and enthusiastic team.
The role
We are looking for volunteers to help us spread our message to a range of audiences. Duties will include:
* Updating Twitter, Facebook and Instagram;
* Writing short blogs and adding them to our websites;
* Researching opportunities for funding;
* Updating mailing lists and helping to get our newsletter ready;
* Administrative tasks such as emailing and liaising with others in the industry.
In exchange, we can provide a fun and lively environment for a local person to work in for a few hours a week, as well as training and supervision and the opportunity to build your CV.
The person we are looking for will have some spare time each week, and will have good written English. Understanding of social media is a plus but is not essential as training will be given. This would be an ideal opportunity for a student or retired person who enjoys reading and writing and can express themselves well.
This is an ongoing opportunity – there is no closing date but please do express your interest as soon as possible to ensure we can accommodate you!
