Our team of educational mediators and administrators are here to answer all your questions and support all parties through the mediation process. Our mediators are all highly qualified and work only on educational disputes. The mediation team are part of the Releasing Potential School, a Department-for-Education registered Independent School for children with special educational needs. All our educational mediators are independent, and do not work for any Council or Local Authority.

Senior Educational Mediator

Loveday has worked as a Mediator with Releasing Potential since 2016, joining the Releasing Potential family permanently in 2017 after working for over a year on SEND mediation disputes. Prior to joining the team, Loveday worked for Portsmouth Mediation Service for four years as a Community Mediator. She holds a Diploma in Mediation (OCN) and is a qualified Restorative Justice Facilitator (RANE). Loveday is a trained member of the College of Mediators and runs Releasing Potential Mediation’s 12-hour SEND Mediation Training course.

Theresa Bailey

Professional Services Administrator

Theresa joined the team at Releasing Potential in 2017 as a Professional Services Administrator, after having worked in defence logistics for many years. Theresa provides administration and logistics for the mediation service, as well as for a range of our other professional services. Theresa is the first point of contact for all new referrals to Releasing Potential Mediation, and is here to explain the options to all parties seeking appeal and/or dispute resolution services.

Educational Mediators

Alex Gray

Head of Professional Services 

Alex joined Releasing Potential in 2016 as a Mediation Coordinator, and now oversees all professional services for the organisation as well as the Releasing Potential Institute. She remains involved in the strategic development of the mediation service and regularly consults with new referrals. Alex’s background is in academic research and teaching in Higher Education, and she holds a BA, MA and PhD from the University of Portsmouth.
